NJDA is exploring the potential development of a dentist-centered network
management organization (“an “NMO”) exclusively for NJDA members, designed to
help independent practices address growing challenges related to insurance
participation, reimbursement, credentialing, and administrative requirements.

No final decision has been made. Your participation in the meeting is strongly
encouraged. NJDA wants to hear from its members in deciding whether to proceed with
developing an NMO.

The NMO would establish a network of participating NJDA members, The NMO will
deal directly with insurance carriers for the network members with the following goals:

* More favorable terms of contracts with the carriers.

* Increased reimbursement rates through an independent but coordinated
approach to obtaining fee schedules for network members from each of the major
carriers.

* Improved claims processing procedures for network members.

* Reduced administrative burdens with credentialing, pre-authorizations, contract
evaluations and comparisons.

The NMO would use a messenger-model network in dealing with insurance carriers.
This model would pursue the above goals while still maintaining the independence of
each dental practice. Each practice would have full control to independently evaluate
carrier contracts and fee schedules and decide whether to accept a contract.

These regional hybrid meetings, offered exclusively to NJDA members, will
introduce the concept and explain how the proposed model would work. Members will
learn how a messenger-model dental network works, the potential benefits for
participating practices, what would be required to join, and how practices would
maintain their independence.

Attendees will also hear from NJDA leaders, the consultant, and legal counsel, ask
questions, participate in discussion, and share feedback that will help inform NJDA’s
next steps. All three meetings will feature the same format: a one-hour presentation
followed by one hour of Q&A. Members should register for and attend only one meeting.
